There is a locking allen screw that keeps the axle from revolving (unscrewing). My allen screw had corroded in the threads. I suspected that by using a cheater bar on the allen wrench I would strip out the hex.

What I did was spray Krole Oil (penetrating oil) in the hole and after waiting awhile I used the proper hex driver in my air impact tool, The impact tool did the job, by vibrating it loose.

Next, remove the axle out of the forks, by unscrewing it. Next drop the wheel. Note the disk brake pads have to be worked free of the disk (a simple matter).
